Christian Education

Our world has changed from the days when we grew up and attended school. We used to be able to pray and we were encouraged to be bold for Jesus. Today even in the best of public schools our children have lost the freedom to pray, declaring the name of Jesus isn’t politically correct and claiming to be a Christian isn’t popular anymore. Our children struggle to find their identity in a society that increasingly blends all religions, all opinions and all life-styles so no one is discriminated against. Kodak Christian Academy believes it can help children develop a healthy self-esteem and true identity of who they are in Christ Jesus. At KCA a child will have the opportunity to excel academically and spiritually.

Kodak Christian Academy offers Bible study classes in addition to the standard curriculum.  Children have the freedom to pray, sing Christian songs, study the scriptures and feel free to talk about their faith at any time they choose, without worrying about whether or not it is acceptable.

“I’ve heard it said and I’ve said it myself -- we shouldn’t isolate our children.” January Beeler, Vice Principal and Director of Preschool continues, “I’ve come to understand that it is my responsibility -- not society and not the public school system -- to raise up my children in the way they should go. When I see children who have no respect, who have little moral value, when I see children dealing with issues like drugs and promiscuity then I know that I’ve stepped up to my responsibility. I’ve determined that I will do everything I can do to help my children get the best education possible and during their most formidable years see that they learn what it really means to have love for people, to learn respect, to know moral value.”
